Abandoned by his Dutch father when he was just a baby, Daniel Hoek turns to crime and ends up facing the death sentence in an Ethiopian prison. One day, his half brother from Holland reaches out to him and even helps in commuting his sentence. Daniel gets to meet his father Joop, but realizes they both are two sides of the same coin.
