Kelly Milner returns to her journalistic roots with a story on First Nations youth in Carcross, Yukon in Canada. As part of a plan to bring tourists and economic development to the region, the youngsters spend their summers creating world-class mountain biking trails around their community, using only hand tools, hard work, and a love of the outdoors. Their efforts pay off as thousands flock to this mountain biking destination every year. Shift documents how the youth develop a sense of themselves and pride in their work while they reconnect with their land.
