The founder and first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, Genghis Khan, came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia. He conquered most of Eurasia with campaigns that were often accompanied by large-scale massacres of the civilian populations. Still perceived as a genocidal people, the Mongols prove they are more than that. A band of five adventurers discover the other side of Mongolia, away from the usual routes, and explore the impact of Genghis Khan’s development policies, and the country’s various violent regimes.
