British adventure enthusiast Sarah Outen was in the midst of her mission to travel the world solely on human power, when she met expert kayaker Justine Curgenven, who was hunting for a partner for a 1,500-mile expedition. Together they set off on the rugged volcanic archipelago that links Alaska with Russia. In their audacious kayaking expedition, the ladies are greeted by desolate wild coastlines, dangerous waters & the world’s worst weather. They tackle bears & thorough uncertainty on the seas, against a rich backdrop of wildlife and culture of a remote, undiscovered landscape.
